For Women’s Work among Women and Children

GRACIOUS Lord, Who wast born of a woman, Who didst accept the ministry of women, and Who didst take into Thine arms little children to bless them, be present, we pray Thee, with the women who now minister for Thee to their sisters in heathen and Moslem countries; and be with all those to whom Thou hast given the care of children to be brought up in Thy fear and love. By means of these Thy servants raise the women of these lands to know and enjoy the blessing and honour that Thou didst purpose for women, and so give Thy Word that great may be the company of the women who labour in the Lord, and carry into darkened homes the light of Thy Presence and the joy of Thy peace; hear us for Thy Name's sake. Amen.
