For Steadfastness of Purpose
O THOU Who hast taught us that all things work together for good to them that love Thee, help us to trust in that Eternal will which works within our changeful life, to guide it everlastingly. Help, O Lord, the upward strivings of Thy servants, that we be not henceforward betrayed, to the right hand or to the left by those things which in past times have led us astray, and destroyed our peace. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
