For Divine Blessing on Life’s Callings
O BLESSED Lord and loving Father, except Thou direct us we cannot stand, but shall fall into many sins; for no estate, no degree, no calling, office, function, or trade of life, can prosper or be rightly performed without Thy continual aid, direction, and providence. Therefore, Lord, guide us by Thy Spirit, increase our faith, give us wisdom and ableness in all things to execute our calling as we ought. Be present, good and gracious Father, with us, and grant that all things that we take in hand may begin in knowledge, proceed in fear of Thee, and end in love, that our whole course of life may be blessed by Thee; for the sake of Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
