For Conformity to the Will of God

For Conformity to the Will of God

O LORD, forasmuch as all our strength is in Thee, grant unto us this grace, that we may allow Thee to do whatsoever Thou wilt; and that our doing may be to lie still in Thy hand, that Thou mayest do with us that thing only which is most pleasing to Thee. Do Thou adorn us with holy virtues, giving unto us humbleness of mind, purity of heart, and all those gifts and graces which Thou knowest to be needful for us, and whatsoever Thou wouldest have to be in us, whether in body or soul; that so we may be able the better to please Thee, the more worthily and faithfully to serve Thee, and the more perfectly to love Thee. We pray, moreover, that Thou wouldest give us grace to arrive at that degree of perfection which Thou willest us to reach, and grant unto us the aids and dispositions needful for its attainments; for the sake of Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord. Amen.
