For Conformity to God’s Will
O ALMIGHTY God, help us now to worship Thee with reverence and humility. Grant us Thy presence this day; in all our trials and disappointments sustain our courage, and make us patient. If Thou sendest trouble, comfort us with thoughts of Thy love; if our plans and hopes are not realized, supply our need in Thine own way. In prosperity teach us to say, “The Lord gave,” and in adversity, “The Lord hath taken away, blessed be the Name of the Lord.” Draw us nearer and nearer to Thyself. May we each cast our burden upon Thee, never trusting to our own strength, but in Thy mercies, which are infinite; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.
