For Comfort for the Suffering and Sorrowful
O GOD, to Whom alone is known the meaning of the mystery of suffering, we beseech Thee in behalf of the many who are afflicted in mind or body. May they have faith to resist the assaults of the Evil One, and to claim the healing of the Great Physician. May those around them continue instant in prayer, even in the prayer of faith, which shall save the sick, and cause them to be raised by the Lord, in Whose Name alone we ask these blessings: even Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
