For Christ-like Lives
O LORD our God, we beseech Thee to give us patience in troubles, humility in comforts, constancy in temptations, and victory against all our ghostly enemies. Grant us sorrow for our sins, thankfulness for Thy benefits, fear of Thy judgments, love of Thy mercies, and mindfulness of Thy Presence for evermore. Make us humble to our superiors, and friendly to our equals, ready to please all, loath to offend any; loving to our friends, and charitable to our enemies. Give us holiness in our thoughts, and righteousness in all our actions; let Thy mercy cleanse us from our sins, and Thy grace bring forth in us the fruits of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
