For Brotherly Love

WE would further entreat Thee to plant in our hearts gentleness and patience, a meek and long-suffering spirit. Endow us, we beseech Thee, with such charity, that we may be enabled to return blessing for cursing, good for evil, kind words for harsh reproaches. Thus living all our days with meekness and loving-kindness, keeping peace with all men, and loving our neighbours as ourselves, and Thee, Lord Jesus, more than ourselves, we may at last enter with them into the regions of everlasting love, where Thou livest, Who lovest all men, and wouldst not that any should perish, but that all men should turn to Thee and be saved; for Thy Name's sake. Amen.
