For a Wise and Sympathetic Spirit
GRACIOUS Lord, in Whom are laid up all the treasures of knowledge and wisdom, direct us in the ways of life, remove from us the ways of death. Give us a soft and meek spirit, that we may help the succourless, and comfort the comfortless. O our Lord, pardon us for the neglect of this duty, and make us to redeem the time with a cheerful constancy. Amen.
