Confession and Intercession

O GOD the Father Almighty, Creator and Governor of all things; O God the Son Eternal, our Redeemer, Intercessor and Judge; O God the Holy Ghost, the Sanctifier, Who with the Father and the Son together art worshipped and glorified, have mercy upon us. Pardon O Lord, the sins and offences of our past lives, for Thy mercy’s sake; from pride and vanity, from selfishness and envy, from love of the world and forgetfulness of Thee, good Lord, deliver us. O Lord, we beseech Thee mercifully to hear our prayers and supplications for all mankind, and especially for Thy Holy Church throughout the land. For the King and all who are in authority, that they may rule in righteousness and minister true judgment unto the people. For all bishops and ministers, that they may be guided by Thy Holy Spirit to a knowledge of the Truth, and may be both teachers and patterns to their flocks. We beseech Thee to hear us, O Lord, for all who are in trouble, suffering, or distress; for the needy and them that have no helper; for the sick, the dying, and the mourners. For our relations, friends and benefactors; for our enemies, persecutors and slanderers; for all with whom we live or have to do. Hear us, O Lord, we humbly beseech Thee, for the sake of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Amen.
