A Prayer for the Nation

A Prayer for the Nation

LET Thy mercy and blessing, O Lord of Lords, rest upon our land and nation; upon all the powers which Thou hast ordained over us; our King, and all in authority under him; the Ministers of State, the great Councils of the Nation; all Judges and Magistrates; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Rule the hearts of men in all classes of our people; and in these days of restlessness and self-will, draw all together in true brotherhood and sympathy. Rebuke the power of unbelief and of superstition, and preserve to us Thy pure Word in its liberty and glory even to the end of days; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
