Ask the Father for mercy while holding hope through delay.
Historical edition. Historical claims and instructions are preserved as historical context.
O my gracious and merciful God! Since Thy help delays, I tremble; yet I will not despair. Thou art my Father, and I am Thy child. O hide not Thy face from me any longer. Speak but the word, and I shall be whole. When Thou speakest, it is done; when Thou commandest, it stands fast. Lord, in mercy hear me.
